Twerking, is a popular urban term used to describe rump shaking, or explicit dancing. I’m sure a group of school kids in San Diego will never forget how to tweak. Thirty-three student from Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego were punished for using school equipment to make a low budget hip hop, rap, tweak style music video.

This is not the first rap song to appear on a movie soundtrack, however Hov on the Great Gatsby is a pretty big deal. How exactly did Jigga hook up with film writer Baz Luhrmannn?
According to Mr. Carter the two exchanged words during the recording of ‘Watch The Throne.’ We just talked about the act and the art of collaborating,” Jay recalled. “I guess that was the seed of the idea.”
Almost a year later ’100$ Bill’ presents itself on the web (May 2). Jay raps,”New heroines, new Marilyns, Move coke through Maryland, Through Easton, oh you beastin” over jazz flutes and a chopped and screwed inspired beat.
It sounds gritty like the time. The 1920′s, times of uncertainty, flappers, criminal activity, and a changing culture. Jay Z’s new music correlates perfect with the movie and Leonardo DiCaprio sound-fills from the film are the icing on the cake.
Other entertainers found on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated film include Beyonce, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey, and Jack White. The soundtrack is star studded. But, make no mistake this is not Baz Luhrmann’s first time pairing great music with his films. In fact Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge! (2001) gave birth to a successful soundtrack album, selling more than seven million copies, led by the Grammy-winning number one hit single “Lady Marmalade”. BOOM
