Last weekend D League took over Rare Footage at the Hardrock with an event sponsored by Vitamin Water and Coordinated by Florida’s own Darline @ItsDarla. Amongst friends, fans, and an abundance of media outlets including Felisha Monet of 99 JAMz, the duo performed a slew of songs from their album Life Up.
Starting with Gotta Get Paid, an animated Demo introduced himself as the Asian Obama, reciting “I was ready when I was elected.”
In Get It Together , Demo and Uncut spoke about priorities. The two fashion forward members lyrically expressed the need to shop less and put more money into D League. Less True’s and Gucci, more beats and studios.
Uncut asked everybody to move in closer for the Big Dreams, Tupac Nightmares performance. The tone got intimate as D League passionately shared their fears and excitement for the rap game. Shortly after they got the crowd hype again with their club banger Ape Shit. Look out for that video coming soon, shot at Pangea Hardrock. For now check out the behind the scenes footage, you might even see a cameo from yours truly.
Before performing Denzel which seemed to be a crowd favorite along with Big Dreams, Tupac Nightmares , Demo challenged hip hop heads to listen closely to his first 16.
“Listen closely and guess how many Denzel movies I mention in my verse,” he dared the audience.
Being the music junky that I am, I guessed and won a great price. Denzel was produced by White Hot, who also produced a number of tracks for Ace Hood including, Tear Da Roof Off. You can buy Denzel on iTunes now.
