Be careful what you text, it may be used against you in the court of law. Ericka Lee who is claiming to be Drake’s ex girlfriend is doing just that.
In her law suit the woman claims two traded poems and lyrics over the course of their romantic and business relationship. She continue that they discussed collaborative projects and Drake allegedly agreed to work with her on “Marvin’s Room” and split the earnings.
In court she presented on going text messages about the song, one reading, “U basically made that song.”
The rapper reportedly offered her 2 percent of the publishing royalties for the song, and later increased the offer to 4-5 percent along with a $50,000 settlement. However, Lee is now seeking a co-writing credit.
